The Hydraulic Side Cover Kit for 2017-Later M8 models is finally here! Taking design cues from our ever increasing product family known as Function Formed, we have wrapped the outer design around the functional components found inside. No garnish, or decorations, just the meat and potatoes to make this side cover look as good as it functions.

Baker Drivetrain newly designed 28MM piston, in conjunction with supplied mainshaft & countershaft retaining nuts, help alleviate the common fluid transfer issue between the transmission and primary.

Description

Baker Drivetrain Hydraulic Side Covers was one of the first parts in the FF product line. Baker Drivetrain took away all the ‘fat’ of the standard aftermarket side cover and left the function. The true art of any mechanical part is the function. The parts that make it happen, that do the work and yield the results. Baker Drivetrain sucked the side cover up to the bearing door as much as possible by utilizing aerospace derived hydraulic ball plugs, that enabled the bleeder screw and feed line ports to be right next to the gasket surface. Baker Drivetrain even put the conventional transmission dipstick on a diet. Knowing what’s it like to be on the end of that wrench, hustling to get that bike done, ‘just right’ we tooled up these covers to offer either front or rear banjo fitting ports. Smashed out of virgin aluminum stock, just down I-94 in greater Chicago, these side covers are forged on 1500 ton presses with a beautiful one hit die. The result is the tidiest design possible, yielding the strength necessary to get the job done, and a smooth surface finish to match.
